Health News Network wants this announcement to be readable by every visitor, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.
What the site does
The page is a single, linear document with proper headings, real text (no text in images), descriptive alternative text on every picture, visible keyboard focus, and a "skip to content" link at the top. Colours meet WCAG AA contrast on body text. Every animation respects the operating system's reduced-motion setting, and the intro video can be skipped at any time.
The accessibility menu
The round blue button in the bottom-left corner opens a menu with nine adjustments: bigger text (three steps), high contrast, inverted colours, grayscale, a readable sans-serif font, highlighted links, paused motion, a big cursor and a reading guide. A "Reset all" button restores the defaults.
Your choices are saved only on your own device, in your browser's local storage, so they are still applied the next time you visit. Nothing about them is sent to us.
